About Us

At Piper Early Childhood Center, our classrooms are led by certified teachers who hold Bachelor’s or Master’s degrees and are deeply committed to early learning excellence. We proudly serve both general education and special education students through an inclusive model that supports every child’s growth. Our team includes ESOL-endorsed teachers as well as onsite specialists—speech, occupational, and physical therapists—who provide services to students who qualify.

Instruction is guided by the Kansas Early Learning Standards and supported through Connect 4 Learning, Handwriting Without Tears, and Kindermusik. Learning is thoughtfully embedded in meaningful play experiences, where children build academic foundations while strengthening social-emotional skills. We place a strong emphasis on peer interaction, collaboration, and developing independence.

By the time students complete our program, they are well prepared for Kindergarten. Families receive quarterly progress reports and have opportunities to connect during fall and spring parent-teacher conferences. We follow the district calendar and are proud to partner with families every step of the way as we prepare children for a successful transition to elementary school.
